New Wantagh childcare center keeps needs of local community in mind — Rockville Centre Health news

Nearly 17.5% of workers living in Wantagh work from home, while more than 64% work outside of the home, according to aggregated data. To help meet the needs of working parents, a new childcare center has opened at 3309 Merrick Rd., co-founder Melissa Borger said.  The center officially opened in September and began accepting students ranging from infants to five-year-olds. The center, known as Creative Play Childcare Center, was co-founded by Borger and her business partner, Dhanaive Nunez.  The center is open five days a week, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and offers extended hours for parents traveling from work. Borger, who has lived in the area for about 25 years, said the duo opened the center with Wantagh working families in mind and engaged with the community before opening.
